I'm Alan Gallagher, the founder of WayLight Atlantic.
I'm part of the Irish diaspora in Bristol, and I've spent significant time living and working in both Ireland and the UK. That mix has shaped how I work: practical, systems-minded, and quietly attentive to how people actually use things day to day.
Professionally, my background spans enterprise IT, information security, and healthcare governance - specifically within Infection Prevention Control. I've worked with secure access systems, large-scale hardware procurement, and complex supply chains, and more recently within the NHS supporting governance and assurance activity, including Board Assurance Framework processes and strategic and operational evidence management.
Across all of that work, the common thread has been order and trust: clear documentation, systems that stand up to scrutiny, and digital spaces that don't create unnecessary stress. WayLight Atlantic exists to apply those principles beyond large organisations -- helping smaller teams, charities, and individuals create digital systems that feel calm, understandable, and dependable.
